About Women Entrepreneurs Netherlands

In recent years, the rise in female entrepreneurship has been 30% higher than among male entrepreneurs. Entrepreneurship is a conscious choice for women who want to use their talents and avoid dependence on the masculine business culture.

Additionally, entrepreneurship requires creativity, which offers complete independence and freedom. It is the ultimate tool for women’s empowerment.

To provide a platform for ambitious female entrepreneurs, we founded Women Entrepreneurs Netherlands. We emphasize personal growth and development, as well as the growth of one’s own business both domestically and internationally.

To achieve this, WEN primarily organizes international trade missions for female entrepreneurs.

Why Women Entrepreneurs Netherlands?

The constantly changing laws and regulations, combined with the ever-evolving market demand, place female entrepreneurs in a vulnerable position.

Through the establishment of Women Entrepreneurs Netherlands, female entrepreneurs now have a platform where they can exchange experiences and business opportunities with one another.

Thanks to our trade missions, female entrepreneurs are no longer limited to opportunities in the local market, making them less vulnerable in the business environment.

Jeanet Bathoorn

Social Media Expert
"Since January 1, 2005, I have been active as an entrepreneur. Before social media became a hype, I was already professionally involved in it back in 2008. As a Social Media Expert, I help SMEs and self-employed professionals (ZZP’ers) profile their businesses using social media and online marketing. This increases their online visibility and, in turn, their revenue. In my field, I see that women approach entrepreneurship and ambition differently. Through my involvement with Women Entrepreneurs Netherlands, I am committed to giving female entrepreneurs a voice and raising awareness of the online opportunities available to them. What strikes me is that many entrepreneurs—especially women—do not leverage the power of the internet to grow their businesses and effortlessly attract clients. This is particularly true for those over 35, where unfamiliarity and fear of using the internet and social media play a significant role. I always aim for results!"
